What is Hantavirus

Experts believe that this virus is not as deadly as the coronavirus. It is spread by human contact with a rat or squirrel. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, "Rats are at risk of infection with the virus inside and outside the home." Even if someone is a healthy person and that person comes in contact with the Hantavirus, they are at risk of getting infected.

Although Hanta does not spread from person to person, if a person touches their eyes, nose, and mouth after touching the faces, urine, etc. of mice, there is an increased risk of getting infected with Hanta. Rat bites can also occur but it is very rare.
